Welcome to the Gospel Light Youth page. I am Brother Chuck Brown, Youth Pastor here at Gospel Light. My wife, Angie and I have been involved in the Youth Ministry for over seven years. We are the parents of  2 wonderful girls, Haley 11 and Savannah 3. Since coming to Gospel Light we have had the opportunity to start a Wednesday night Teen class where Teens can come to hear a message on their level, have fellowship and grow in social interaction. Through the summer we are doing something new for our Jr’s and Teens, we are teaching the Rock of Ages “Character Under Construction” program. This will teach our young people “Character”, something that is going by the wayside quickly in the Youth of America today.

During the school year we have Pee-Wee Patch the Pirate for ages 3-Kindergarten, Patch the Pirate for 1^st-6^th grade, then a Teen Class for those 7^th grade and up. Our Sunday School classes are graded as well; 3-K, 1^st-3^rd, 4^th-6^th, 7^th-12^th. On Sunday morning we have Children’s Church and Jr church to reach children on their level while the Teens and Adults attend service in the Sanctuary.

We have monthly outings for the Jr’s as well as separate outings for the Teens. Our Jr’s have enjoyed such activities as a trip Dan Nicholas Park, an Intimidators Baseball game. While our Teens have been to Carowinds, had an all night Lock-in and a Water fun day here at the church. In June our Jr’s will go to Camp at the Creek, a week long Christian Camp sponsored by Turners Creek Baptist Church in Yadkinville, then our Teens will go in July. This is week of fun and excitement coupled with STRONG and SOUND Bible Preaching along with PLENTY OF LOVE to help young people see that there is more to life than what the World has to offer.

As we go forward in the Youth Ministry our Hope and Prayer is that we will see young people saved, discipled and grow in the Lord. As our young people grow homes will be strengthened also. We desire to see our Youth groups grow in number as well as Spirit.
