Dear Parents,

We are planning two activities for the month of September.  Twice a year they have community day at the Salisbury Mall.  The Mall will allow us to set up a table and give out Gospel Tracks to the people that come by the table.  We will have face painting and balloon twisting to get the people to the table. Below is a schedule for the day.

 

September 11, 2010

9:45 am – 12:00 -- Girls in the class will work the table.  Meet at the Mall

12:00 – 2:30 -- Boys in the class will work the table.  Meet at the Mall

Send money for lunch or snacks, they usually like Chic-Fil-A.

3:00 pm Church Picnic

 

 

September 18, 2010

We are going to Linville Caverns

Meet at 9:00 am

Back around 4:00pm

Pack a lunch and a couple of drinks

The girls won the month of July contest so the boys will be serving the girls their lunch at the caverns. 

Send a light jacket for going into the caverns; the average temp is 52 degrees

We will provide snacks on the way up to the caverns. 

Send $3.00 for admission. 

 

We are currently studying Bible history in our class.  We are looking at where did the KJV came from and why are there differences between the different versions.  I don’t know about them but I have learned a lot and have enjoyed the study.

 

            PLEASE continue to help and encourage your child to read their Bible each day.  We send home a reading schedule each month to read a chapter a day.   Thank you for your prayers.
