  Hello and Greetings from Gospel Light Baptist Church,

Well, I must apologize for not doing a better job of keeping the pastor’s page updated, but I am so thankful for your continued interest in our web site. I have been truly amazed at how the Lord is using this to reach people around the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It has been such a blessing to get e-mails from people from all over that have enjoyed the preaching and the teaching that is found here. If you have never written, we would love to hear from you and hear what the Lord is doing in your life. So please take a moment and e-mail us!

            To keep you up with what is going on around the church, let me start by saying the Lord is so good to His children. We have seen the Lord do so many things, but that’s just who He is. We have seen so many people come to know the Lord as their personal Savior through the many different outreach ministries of the church. A group from the church also went on our first overseas missions trip. We spent twelve days in Peru with missionary Mike Kennedy and had the opportunity to hand out over 5000 Bibles and 20,000 gospel tracts. During that trip we also had the privilege to preach and witness to hundreds of thousands of people, and to the glory of God 1000’s came to know Christ as their Savior. Our summer ended with a wonderful and successful Vacation Bible School in July and a “Back to School” Revival in August.

 We also just celebrated our 40^th Homecoming and the Lord gave us a wonderful day of preaching, singing, and fellowship. We have claimed 1 Timothy 3:15 “…the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth” as our life verse. We want to be just that. We want to be a pillar and ground of the truth for a lost and dying world. Surrounding our Homecoming we were blessed with some wonderful preaching from men like Donnie Farmer, Jerry Whiteheart and James Knox.  I would encourage you to go to the Audio Sermon portion of the site and listen to some of these great preachers. We sure enjoyed every message and I think you will too.

 As we head into the last part of the year we are excited at what the Lord is going to do. We would like to encourage each of you to keep your eyes on the Lord and to magnify Him in every area of your life. Also we would like to thank you one more time for taking an interest in Gospel Light Baptist Church and would like to extend to you a personal invitation to join us anytime you can.
